Our engagement photos are up!

Steve & I had the hardest time trying to find, pick and decided on a photographer. Some photographs we saw were amazing but insanely priced. Just as you could imagine some photos being "so-so" and their price meeting our expectations. I got an email a few weeks ago from a former high-school mate turned photographer! I thought the email was a joke, because her pictures were...wonderful and her price was...perfect!

I was actually on the school news program with our photographer and Steve traveled to Germany as a part of the exchange program with her! Small world! We are so happy to have found Crystal Jo Foto!

Crystal Jo took our engagement pics a couple of weekends ago...before the snow flurries but it was still VeRy cold! We went to the Kelton House in downtown Columbus and then over to the Franklin Park Conservatory...where Steve asked me to marry him! We had a blast and I definitely wanted to share some of the photos with you. I can't wait to see what she'll surprise us with on our big day! Visit her blog to see our pics here: Crowning the Lovebirds!

November 4th, 2008. This date will be a mark in the history of America. I had the chance to vote in my second Presidential election. I must say, I have never felt so undecided about anything. I did have the honor of singing the National Anthem at a Barack Obama rally back in February. Other than just singing, the now former Senator said my name, stopped to shake my hand and pose for a picture! Of course I had a feeling then, there was a chance that I had just met the next President of the United States! I’m not attesting to whom my vote went to but rather just in awe of what has occurred in these passing days. Change is what America wanted (and needs), lets hope that’s what we get!

Also please check this out! 10% of proceeds will go to Children's Miracle Network!

Miss America is calling all Teen Wellness Leaders...
Miss America is extremely passionate about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. She continues to promote this message by sharing new information about a unique contest, the Search for Teen Wellness Leaders. Amway Global is searching for teens across the United States who are taking action and leading the effort to promote wellness among their peers and community. The contest will recognize one teen from each of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia for making a positive difference. Each selected Teen Wellness Leader will receive a $1,000 scholarship, a $1,000 grant for his or her local YMCA and the chance to be featured in Newsweek. If you know a teen wellness leader in your community, or you are a teen wellness leader yourself, we strongly encourage you to visit Inspire Wellness. The nomination period ends November 16, 2008 at 10 p.m. EST, so start nominating! Miss America commends all Teen Wellness Leaders out there for their efforts in spreading positive messages and fighting unhealthy lifestyles. Teen Wellness Leaders play a vital role in the future wellness of our nation and serve as exceptional role models for today’s youth. The sooner younger generations learn to cultivate healthy habits and stay fit, the more likely they’ll be healthy and active later in life. Keep up the good work!
